When I first decided to start raising chickens back in 2009, I immediately raided our local bookstore and read every book I could find on the subject of chicken keeping. And then I kept on reading for the next few years. I felt like there was so much to learn, and each author had a slightly different take on the topic.

It wasn't until 2011 that I ran across Chick Days: An Absolute Beginner's Guide to Raising Chickens from Hatching to Laying by Jenna Woginrich. I thoroughly enjoyed reading her first book ... so much so that I went on to read all of Jenna's other books including Barnheart, Made from Scratch and several others. So when I was contacted by her new publisher Roost Books and asked to review her latest book Cold Antler Farm, I readily accepted.
